We have several quality fishing areas right at the foot of Mount Grossglockner.
The Dorfschenke can offer several fishing areas. They are located at the foot of Mount Grossglockner in the National Park Region Hohe Tauern, Carinthia.
The Möll River originates directly from the Mount Grossglockner massif and offers fishermen highest quality waters. From Heiligenblut to Möllbrucke, the mountain stream is divided over a length of 70 km into several fishing areas.
A clear sign of the high water quality is the outstanding wild fish population (trout) in the river. Not only trout, but also the grayling population is abundant in all areas as the fish find excellent spawning grounds on the numerous gravel banks.
All fishing areas are reserved exclusively for fly fishermen only. Fishing lures may include dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers. The removal of fish from the waters is here an exception.
The reservoir near Gössnitz is also of great interest for fishermen, who can cast their lines for large brown and lake trout.
