Hofer Lohe (Trautenfels) – Water Information for Anglers

The Beat at a Glance

  • Type & Location: Old, now separated Enns river arm near Trautenfels, water surface approx. 2 ha. No connection to the Enns.
  • Character: Fishable near the shore; inside of the Lohe can be fished. Coarse & predatory fish.

Fish Species

Carp, pike and other coarse & predatory fish. (Closed seasons/minimum sizes see local regulations.)

  • Fishing times:6:00 AM until nightfall, night fishing prohibited.

Methods & Rules

  • Two rods with one bait each allowed.
  • Only inside of the Lohe can be fished.
  • Closed seasons/protected fish: including carp > 60 cm, Amur, tench, black bass protected all year round – return gently immediately.
  • Withdrawal:Max. 1 fish per fishing day.
  • Parking only in designated areas; do not use the shore area for other purposes.

Fishing licenses & purchase

  • Day tickets: €25 (adults), €18 (youth).
  • Supervision & contacts: according to the club’s website.

Note: The Irdning Fishing Club is responsible. Please check the current regulations (closed seasons, sizes, permitted zones) when purchasing tickets; rules are subject to change.

Gently land & release, respect protected zones, comply with parking regulations, keep the shore clean.

Important: For fishing in Styria, the official fishing license (or guest fishing license) is also required. You will receive information & tips at check-in at our establishments. (The Hofer Lohe itself is managed by the Irdning Fishing Club; voucher services do not automatically apply there.)
